My Dewey’s 24-HR Read-a-Thon TBR

Hey all! This Saturday is Dewey’s 24-Hour Read-a-Thon and in anticipation of participating I wanted to make a TBR. I’ve never done a 24-hour read-a-thon, so this is pretty intimidating but I’m up for the challenge. As some of you may know, I’m also participating in Lauren from Wonderless Reviews’ Halloween Read-a-Thon, but I’m going to try to keep that separate and not overlap my TBR. My goal for the day is four books. I know that’s ambitious, but if I actually try to stay up for the full 24 hours, or close—that’s 8:00 AM Saturday to 8:00AM Sunday my time—I think it’s possible. Anyway, here’s what I’m going to read! Let me know if you’re participating and your TBR in the comments!

1. The Hidden Oracle (The Trials of Apollo #1) by Rick Riordan

So many people have gushed about this book and series and I’m so excited that I know I’m just going to fly through this. I miss the world of Percy Jackson too much.

2. Crimson Bound by Rosamund Hodge

What really drew me to this book is the cover, I just find it mesmerizing. I didn’t know this until like now, but this story is actually inspired by Little Red Riding Hood. But after a mistake Rachelle is basically bound to serving her realm and gaurding the prince, who she hates and later forces to join her on a hunt for a legendary sword.

3. Empress of A Thousand Skies by Rhoda Belleza

I was really interested in this story when it first came out, I’m trying to be more adventurous when it comes to sci-fi, but what really endeared me to this book was the author Rhoda, who I met the other month at the BTAF. She was just so sweet and thankful for the support.

4. Stuff I’ve Been Feeling Lately by Alicia Cook

The last book on my TBR is a poetry collection, which is kind of cheating since it definitely takes less time to read, but like oh well. I’ve had this on my shelf for a bit now and it’s one of my most anticipated poetry collections. Fingers crossed I’ll get to it.

let me know if you’re participating in the read-a-thon in the comments along with your tbr

  1. Great TBR! I’m still debating on whether or not I’m participating in Dewey’s 24 Hour Readathon. I have a lot going on Saturday, so I won’t have the whole day to myself for reading, but we’ll see. I like that you’re giving yourself a completely different TBR for the day, instead of focusing on the Halloween readathon, though. I’m also participating in that readathon, and I like the idea of reading something completely different for just one day. ☺️
