Top 5 Wednesday: Fandoms You Are No Longer In

Top Five Wednesdays started on Goodreads back in 2013. At the beginning of every month Sam from ThoughtsOnTomes posts a topic for each Wednesday and bloggers, vloggers and overall book fans are encouraged to respond with their top five.

This week is top five fandoms you are no longer a part of! I had a bit of trouble with this and kind of fudged two and then skipped the last one. Let me know what ships you jumped in the comments!

1. The Twilight Fandom

I feel like this is super obvious and predictable. I used to love Twilight—I would say my middle school into high school years—but I can definitely say I am over it now. I think the movies probably are what kind of made me decide to leave the fandom. They were just so eh, that and looking back a lot of the book is problematic.

2. The Shadow Hunters Fandom

It isn’t like I dislike The Mortal Instruments or anything, but I feel like I read them and enjoyed them but am not necessarily super invested anymore.

3. The Beautiful Creatures Fandom

I actually never read these books, but I watched the movie and it defintely interested me. I thought about reading the books and then didn’t. Then they never made the sequel movie. I just lost steam and interest around this world and the characters.

4. The Vampire Academy Fandom

This is another case of I watched the movie, enjoyed it, thought about reading the book, and then never followed through—which upsets me becasue I have heard so many good things about this series. I just kind of fell out of interest with it.

Let me know what your top 5 were this week in the comments!

I enjoy the VA series so far but it’s not the best writing. It’s more of a guilty pleasure. I have been curious about Beautiful Creatures but I hear such mixed things. Great list.
