I know, I know, ya’ll are like girl it’s already been like four months into the year, why are you doing this now? Honestly, I have recently decided I wanted to talk about some other media I like. Last week I discussed television shows, this week I feel like talking movies, and even though it’s the end of April, a lot of the movies—minus Beauty and the Beast—haven’t come out yet. A lot of them are actually coming out in May, so perfect timing! A lot of these are superhero movies, but no shame there are just so many good ones this year—plus I go to the movie primarily with my boyfriend and he loves them. Let me know what movies you’re excited to see this year!
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2

I have been dying to see this since the first movie out and have been completely fangirling over trailers for like a year—how could I not, I mean Baby Groot. Honestly, I was reluctant to see the first movie and only went because my boyfriend wanted to see it but fell in love. So much is soo good about this series. Like Chris Pratt. The humor. Love.

Ah this book like broke my heart and put it back together. Watch the trailer, it just makes me so happy. The actors—Rue and the boy from Jurassic World—look so good too, I think I’m really going to like
Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales

I don’t care how much hate pirates gets or like how bad the movies get each time, I will still see them and love them. I am such trash for this franchise and Jack Sparrow.

We finally get a badass female superhero movie! DC butchers most of their movies—at least in comparison to Marvel—and I don’t usually see them, but I just have to with this one. I’m not super knowledgable about Wonder Woman, besides that SHE IS WONDER WOMAN. I just hope they actually pull it off and that if it tanks it doesn’t stop anyone from making more female-centric superhero movies.

I am a child. But really. Okay, I loved the first Cars. It was so good, not my favorite Disney/Pixar but one that made me smile for sure. I never bothered seeing the second one, the plot just seemed a bit silly to me, but this third one sounds like it’s getting back to its roots. Lightning McQueen is older and gets in an accident and is beat by a rookie, and people are thinking maybe it’s his time to retire, but he sets out to prove them wrong.
Despicable Me 3

These movies are just always so much fun, even watching them as an adult. Gru has a brother? And is maybe getting back to being evil? I don’t know, but as long as there are the minions and the girls this will be adorable.

Spiderman has been done over and over again, I thought I was over it but then that trailer came out. I love that he is a bit younger than the versions we’ve seen lately—and the actor actually looks younger. Plus, there’s the whole Tony Stark/Peter Parker relationship going on that looks interesting. It finally looks like we’re getting a quality Spiderman, and one who is going to last—I’m assuming since they’ve integrated him into the Avengers.

Thor movies have always been good for me but not like as great as the rest of the Avengers. Except this one. I must’ve rewatched the trailer at least five times. Hulk is in it? Chris Hemsworth gets a haircut? The music in the trailer is totally great and Guardians-y too.
Star Wars: The Last Jedi

I mean, who isn’t excited about this? There’s a lot of speculation going around the teaser and the title, I’m just staying away from that. It’s still so far out, and I know whatever I come up with isn’t even going to be close to how awesome this is.
