The Gilmore Girls Book Tag

gilmore-girls

I’ve seen this around and just had to do it in honor of the revival. I only have one episode left of A Year in the Life. It’s not 100% what I’ve hoped for so far, I’m a little nervous about how it’s going to end (no spoilers please).

I was kind of sort of tagged by Flavia from Flavia the Bibliophile. Check out her post it’s great!

Lorelai—a character with a witty or sarcastic sense of humor

Ah there’s so many I feel like, but I’m blanking. Oh Charlotte and/or Watson from A Study in Charlotte. I loved the humor in that book.

pride and prejudiceRory—your favorite classic

Pride and Prejudice is the obvious answer for me. I’m going to throw another book out there that is lesser known but very similar and still a classic, Evelina by Fanny Burney.

Luke—a book you secretly love, but are afraid to admit

I openly admit it on here, but to other people I have a hard time admitting that I love Peter Pan. I just feel like people normally see it as childish.

Lane—a musical character

Lily from Kasie West’s P.S. I Like You is very musical. Her musical aspect was actually my favorite part of the book. She writes lyrics as well as plays the guitar.

Dean—your first book love

I can’t remember like first first book I loved. But, growing up I do remember loving The Magic Tree House books. Those were the best.

Jess—a book/character you love, that gets the most hate

I don’t know. This one is hard for me. Does Katniss get hate? If so maybe her.

illuminaeSooki—a book you’ve devoured

I devour a lot of books. The first one that comes to mind though is Illuminae. I tore through that, partially because it’s style makes it a somewhat short read but also because it was that good.

Miss Patty—a book that was ruined by the hype

Not that I think it’s bad, but I’d say the Throne of Glass series. I read the first book and thought it was good, but I haven’t been super interested in picking up Crown of Midnight. I think it’s because of all the hype and feelings I’ve heard about the series.

Emily Gilmore—expensive book

I don’t own it but The Annotated Alice, basically a huge annotated version of Alice in Wonderland, partially because it’s such an expensive book. I just love that story and want all the beautiful editions.
