My August TBR

I’m trying out something new—monthly tbr posts. I usually just pick up whatever I’m in the mood for—currently contemporaries for summer—but I think it’s good to have some goal books for the month. Let me know if you think I should keep doing monthly tbrs in the comments!

1—5. The Heroes of Olympus Series by Rick Riordan

I read The Lost Hero and The Son of Neptune a couple years back, but for some reason didn’t continue with the series. I think The Mark of Athena hadn’t come out yet and I forgot about it. I bought the first three books as a set back in May, and I just ordered The House of Hades and The Blood of Olympus. I figured now that my collection is complete it’s a perfect time to binge-read the series.

6. The Princess Saves Herself in This One by Amanda Lovelace

I’ve been dying to read this collection of poetry. I’ve seen some of Amanda Lovelace’s poems on social media and just love them—her style reminds me very much of milk and honey. I got an Amazon gift card and this is the first thing I put in my cart, I can’t wait until it arrives.

7-8. The Heart of Betrayal and The Beauty of Darkness by Mary E. Pearson

I recently read The Kiss of Deception—which you can read my review for here—and loved it. The cliffhanger ending left me with so many feels. Knowing the third and final book in the series was coming out soon, I held off on reading The Heart of Betrayal so I could binge-read. I was not looking forward to another cliffhanger and having to wait.

9. Lady Renegades by Rachel Hawkins

Lady Renegades is the last book on my August tbr. I recently power-read the first two books in the series while I was at the beach one weekend. They were witty, cute, and lots of fun. I probably would have finished the series right away, except for the fact I didn’t own the third book. I plan on buying or borrowing Lady Renegades this month and getting to the conclusion. Like I need to know if my favorites need to end up together.
