Top Five Wednesdays started on Goodreads back in 2013. At the beginning of every month Sam from ThoughtsOnTomes posts a topic for each Wednesday and bloggers, vloggers and overall book fans are encouraged to respond with their top five.
This week is top five characters you are most like. Let me know what you think in the comments!
Ruby is super independent—the result of having an absent mother. I used to rely on my parents a lot, but since going to college I’ve become independent just like Ruby.
I just finished this series and absolutely loved it. Cinder is a cyborg and revolutionary, but she’s also just a teenage girl. A lot of the time she feels overwhelmed and unsure about her actions, but she forces herself to put on a brave face. This is definitely something I do, and I really felt myself connecting with Cinder whenever she had one of those moments.
Not only is this one of my favorite books, but Elizabeth Bennett is one of my favorite characters. One of the positive traits we share is a love for reading. And on the negative side is Elizabeth’s pride. Just like Lizzie, my pride can often stop me from admitting I’m wrong.
I love Park and totally connect with him. In the beginning of the novel he’s very self-conscious and concerned about what other people think. But after meeting Eleanor, Park starts to care less and dresses how he wants—eyeliner and all. I know I’ve been self-conscious before in regards to how I look and dress.
This wasn’t my favorite book—you can read my review here—but I loved Julia and really identified with her. She’s super organized, always carrying around pencils and color-coded guidebooks, and really invested in school. Julia’s also kind of controlling, which might not be the best trait but I’ll admit to it.
