Books Released This Week: April 18-24 2016

Here’s an update on YA releases for the week of April 18, 2016.

no love allowedNo Love Allowed by Kate Evangelista

Caleb has two options: attend his father’s parties with a pretty girl on his arm or get shipped off to Yale for a future he’s still unsure about. Too bad the last girl in his social circle just made the mistake of falling in love with him. Enter Didi—recently fired waitress and aspiring painter. The two make a deal with only one rule—no falling in love. I’m such a sucker for fake relationship stories, can’t wait to read this one!

Scarlett Epstein Hates it Here by Anna Breslaw
Published April 19, 2016 by Razorbill

When her favorite show is cancelled and crush sucked into the popular crowd, class nobody Scarlett Epstein turns to the fanfic message boards for comfort. But this time her characters aren’t fictional, but the real-life kids from her high school.

love lies and spiesLove, Lies and Spies by Cindy Anstey

So this sounds like a really cute homage to one of my favorite writers, Jane Austen. Juliana Tedford isn’t your typical nineteenth-century lady. She’s more fascinated by research and bugs than marriage or dresses. So it’s no surprise that when her father ships her off to London for the season her intentions are more academic than romantic. Enter Spencer Northam, not a man of leisure but instead a spy for the War Office. The two agree to a pretend courtship so they can focus on their missions, but Spencer’s mission might just be Juliana.

Let me know what you think in the comments!
