Before autumn is over make sure to take a day trip to Western Mass.
Why? Because with the foliage in full bloom nothing is more beautiful.
Here’s three spots you should make sure to visit:
Atkins farm is a local legend. Stop by this country market for some fresh cider doughnuts as well as a cup of the fall-favorite. While you’re there pick out a pumpkin to carve up later!
2. The Notch
Spend some time in the crisp fall air while hiking the Notch. You can take a stroll through one of the Notch’s many walking paths, or if you’re a little more adventurous hike up the mountain. The view from the top is definitely worth it, with nothing but yellow, red and orange treetops in view.
3. Main St. Northampton
Northampton is a great day-trip destination anytime of the year, but like I said everything in Western Mass. is better in the fall. Stroll up and down Main St. shopping at local favorites like Thornes market and Faces. After all, in a few months your fingers will be freezing as soon as you step outside.
